BUILDING

This school started with 10 Deaf and Dumb children on 2nd Feb. 1986 . The institution did not have its own building at that time. The institution temporarily arranged a house in the campus of Helen Keller Viklang Sanstha in residential area and run the school. At the same time, the institution made quick efforts for its own building. For this we got 12 acres of land near the Kuwada Road from the state government which was very rough and was a part of mining area of one time. The institution soon got it leveled up and worked on the project of constructing a beautiful and modern school building. At the same time, Viklang Prashikshan Kendra Building was also constructed by aid of LNJ Bhilwara Group. Hon. Union Minister & Hon. Chief Minister of Rajasthan inaugurated both on 16th Nov. 1987. Building for Boys Hostel was inaugurated on 22nd Oct. 1992 By Hon. Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sh. Bhero Singh Shekhawat. Construction of hostel for Deaf girls has also completed. It will start from July, 2005.

The school building is constructed scientifically in which there are 25 class rooms, one sound proof and air conditioned audiology room, Ear mould lab, Four other room and a store room; toilet attached principal room, a block of office and a big hall and a covered auditorium is there. Also a neat and clean playground for children and for the functions and feasts. The building has one more specialty which is necessary to be mentioned. Its class rooms are not attached to each other but each has a gap in between and can be entered in through a circular corridor. The rooms are hexagonal in shape to avoid echo sound and the furniture is arranged for 10 students in 'V' shape so that teacher & students may face each other for better teaching practice. Each class room has underground electric fitting for the group hearing aid. There are separate toilets for the girls and boys.

SUR NILAYAM

A new project for visually handicapped started in the institution from 1992-93. This school and hostel was inaugurated by the chairman of the institution Shri Ram Prasad Ladha on Gandhi Jayanti - 2nd October 1992 in a simple function. In the year 1992-93 admission were given to 13 children of the age of 4 to 14 years. Presently 20 boys and girls are studying.

HOSTEL

This Hostel is running with the school. It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of the state on 22nd Oct., 1992 ,. The hostel building is huge and spacious.

• Two big rooms for the Warden (13x18 Ft.)
• A room for the sick resident students. (They are kept there for caring.)
• 7 residential rooms each of 16x15 Ft. on ground floor
• A big dormitory on first floor
• A common hall of the size of 16x18Ft.
• Sufficient number of toilets in the hostel (full attention is paid on their neatness).
• Each dormitory has cots according to it's capacity & Mattresses, Blankets, Bedsheets, Pillows are provided by the institution.
• The hostel has a capacity of 100 students.
• Facilities like residence, food, electricity, water etc. are given in the hostel free of charge to the students whose parents' annual income is less than 1 Lakh. Three wardens are Incharge of these hostels.
• There is a washer for washing children's' clothes.
• Hospital facility is there for the sick children and also a compounder has been appointed.
• Water coolers have been installed in the hostel for drinking and for bathing geysers are provided on both the floors
• For their entertainment & education TV connection is there. By colour TV, VCR, VCD cultural films are shown for their social and intellectual development.
• One hour coaching is given to the resident students every day. This work is performed by the warden or the teachers of the school in turn either before or after the school time.
